SUPPLIES

1 bottle (4 fl oz) Elmer’s White School Glue

1/2 cup of warm water

Measuring cups

Measuring spoons

Newspaper

Balloon

Glitter

AP approved acrylic paint

Paintbrushes

Bowl

Tissue Paper

DIRECTIONS

Ask an adult to blow up your balloon.

Combine the Elmer’s White School Glue and warm water into a bowl.

Tear your newspaper into strips and dunk each strip into the glue mixture. Attach them to the balloon. Form 3+ layers of newspaper in alternating directions.

Add layers of tissue paper to add color. Leave a small hole at the knot of the balloon in order to pop it later on.

Dry the piñata overnight. Then, pop the balloon! The piñata should hold!

Use acrylic paint and glitter to create whatever designs you’d like on the piñata!

Once paint is dry, have an adult cut a small flap on the top or side of the piñata, large enough to fill with candy. Enjoy the smashing!
