SUPPLIES
1 bottle (5 fl oz) Elmer’s Clear School Glue
Food coloring
Stirring utensil
Rectangular container (you will be putting the glue into this container)
Note: Container should be relatively the same size as a traditional bookmark, but the glue will shrink as it dries
Embellishments (to add flair to your bookmark)
Single hole punch
Ribbon or string
Scissors
DIRECTIONS
In a rectangular container, pour from a bottle (5 fl oz) of Elmer’s Clear Glue. Do not pour out the entire bottle, just enough to cover the full surface of the container.
Add food coloring to the glue and stir until the color is spread evenly.
While the glue is still wet, sprinkle any embellishments of your choosing on top to create a fun design.
Pour a thin layer of Elmer’s Clear Glue on top of your embellishments to lock them in.
Once it’s dried, remove the dried glue from the container, use scissors to trip any uneven edges or create the shape and size of your choosing.
OPTIONAL: You can use your hole punch to create a hole at the top and tie a ribbon through it for added flair!
Place the bookmark where you’ve just left off in your latest story and enjoy!
