- Small Heart-Shaped or Square Cardboard Box
- Acrylic Paint
- Elmer's 3D Washable Paint Pens™
- Elmer's Foam Stickers
- Elmer's Paintbrush

Instructions
- Decide how to decorate your keepsake box.
- Paint the box using your favorite colors.
- Decorate the box with Elmer's 3D Washable Paint Pens™. Let the paint dry completely.
- Add colorful foam stickers to your box.
- Fill the box with jewelry, candy, or hair barrettes. Keep it for yourself, or give it as a gift to someone special!
- Have students write their names on their keepsake boxes using Elmer's 3D Washable Paint Pens™. Then, ask students to write acrostic poems. The first word in each line of poetry should begin with the letters of their name. For Example: Awesome at soccer Loves watermelon Likes to ride horses Is a good friend to others Enjoys reading.
- Have students write a short story about their most treasured keepsake. Encourage students to use descriptive words in their writing to tell the history of the keepsake and what it means to them. Post students stories around the classroom for others to see.
- Encourage students to create the keepsake box as a gift for someone special. Have students fill the box with little pieces of scrap paper. ON each piece of scrap paper, have students write a word or personality trait that describes the person receiving the box.
