Felt Pads For Dice
Playing a game involving dice in your classroom can be noisy, and it can get a little out of hand. If you cut rectangles out of felt (about 6 in. by 4 in.), they can serve as dice pads. Students roll the dice on top of the felt pads, which eliminates noise and the desire to get a little crazy with the dice.

Multiplication Sundae Party
To motivate students to learn their multiplication (or any other operation) facts, assign each number to an item of an ice cream sundae. For example, if they learn all of their x0 facts, they earn the bowl. If they learn all of their X1 facts, they earn a spoon. The ice cream should be an easy fact so that all students at least get ice cream (x5 or x10). Students can also earn toppings, such as sprinkles, hot fudge, cherries, caramel, etc.
