Instructions
(Tip: To erase a line, immediately use damp cotton swab to carefully wipe off while still wet OR let completely dry and paint over it.)
1. Refer to pattern to practice drawing irregularly-shaped flowers, leaves and swirls with pencil on paper. Copy pattern or create your own design. Then, on different paper, practice again, using Painters® markers. (Tip: Draw colored parts of flowers and fill in. Then using Black Painters®, relax your hand, and intentionally wiggle a little as you lightly touch the surface for a very free-flowing, irregular design that intentionally does not exactly follow the colored flower shapes, but loosely imitates it. Relax, each flower will take on its own look. Add White dots in centers of flowers.
Also, plan and practice writing child’s name on paper. Decide style and position of letters.
2. When comfortable with process, repeat on chair, starting with child’s name. (Tip: Practice on back of chair to get the feel of the vinyl. Then proceed to the front.) Let dry overnight before using. (Note: With this style painting, any future touchups needed will be easy!)
