Instructions

1. Practice Design: Due to the color of jeans, it's difficult to transfer the pattern to the jeans. Instead, refer to patterns to practice drawing the scroll lines with pencil on paper the same size as the jeans pockets. Develop your own design if desired.
2. Insert Cardboard: Use scissors to cut cardboard to fit into back pockets. (This will keep paint marker from soaking through pocket onto jeans.)
3. Draw Silver lines: On one pocket, use Silver Painters Paint Marker to draw scroll lines as practiced, applying lightly at first to be sure of line placement. Then go back over lines, pressing harder to apply more paint, to appear more opaque. Let dry.   
4. Add Black Shadow Lines: Remembering basic shading principals, mentally establish a light source and draw Black Painters shadow lines on the side opposite the mental light source. Or simply outline one side of design with Black. Let dry.
5. Draw On Other Pocket: Decide if you'll draw the design reversed for the other pocket. Draw that design. Let dry.
6. Glue Rhinestones: Plan placement of gems. Apply a dot of Craft Bond Fabric and Paper Glue and carefully press gem into it using a toothpick. Allow glue to come up around the gem to help hold it. Repeat with other rhinestones. Let dry over night.
7. Remove Cardboard: Remove cardboard from pocket. Allow at least a week before washing jeans on gentle cycle, ideally inside a pillowcase. Hang dry - not in dryer.
