Supplies Needed
- Craft Bond Extra Strength Glue Stick
- X-ACTO Rotary Paper Trimmer
- X-ACTO Gripster Knife (and new blade)
- X-ACTO Self-Healing Cutting Mat
- Painters Medium Paint Marker: Mixed Berry
- 6" x 6" x 3" Paper mache box
- The Paper Company/TPC Studio, "Flowers and Frills Collection":
- 12" x 12" scrapbook papers: one Flowers-All-Over, one Flocked Stripes with Flowers, one Lattice, one Multi Dot, three Green Swirl, two Flower Argyle; Monograms, Tags & Phrases and Filigree Accents Embellishment Kit
- 3/8" wide ribbon:
- 5" length of green stripe ribbon
- 4" length of pink grosgrain ribbon
- 15" length of brown/pink polka dot ribbon
- Four 5 1/4" square white envelopes
- 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" white mat board
- Misc.: scissors, ruler and pencil
Instructions
- Paint Edges: Remove box from lid. Use Painters« Marker to paint along top edge of box and bottom edge of lid. Let dry.
- Line Inside of Box: Use X-ACTO Paper Trimmer to cut two 2 3/4" x 12" strips from flower argyle paper. Apply Craft Bond Glue Stick to paper and place along inside sides of box, overlapping ends. Cut 5 5/8" square from argyle paper and glue to inside bottom of box.
- Line Inside of Lid: Cut two 7/8" x 12" strips from flower argyle paper and glue along inside sides of lid, overlapping ends. Cut 5 5/8" square from flower argyle paper and glue to inside of lid.
- Make Inside Shelf: Use pencil and ruler to draw lines on mat board, 1 from each short end. Use X-ACTO Knife and Self-Healing Cutting Mat to lightly score top layer of mat board. Bend at each score line. Cut 5 1/2" square and two 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" strip from flower argyle paper. Glue to top and sides of mat board. Place shelf inside box to hold cards.
- Cover Outside of Box: Cut two 2 3/4" x 12" strips from flowers-all-over paper and glue to outside sides of box, overlapping ends. Cut 5 3/4" square from flowers-all-over paper and glue to bottom of box. Embellish with stickers on front.
- Cover Outside of Lid: Cut two 1" x 12" strips from flowers-all-over paper and glue to outside sides of lid, overlapping ends. Cut 6" square from flowers-all-over paper and glue to top of lid.
- Make Cards: For each card, cut paper into 5" x 10" piece. Fold into 5" square card. Embellish cards with ribbons, stickers, tags, phrases and accents.
- Make Envelopes: Cut 2" x 5" strips from coordinating paper and glue to flap of envelope. Use X-ACTO Knife and Cutting Mat to trim excess paper from flap.
